Baddi: Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha was rendering a yeoman service in mitigating the sufferings of the humanity, besides providing helping hand to those in need. This was stated by Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh while presiding over the function of Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh unit of Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha at Baddi in Solan district today.
Virbhadra Singh said that Baddi was one of the biggest industrial areas of the State, which have all the basic amenities required for fast industrialization. He said that Baddi would be connected with Chandigarh by rail and the State Government would bear 50 percent of the total cost of this Rs. 300 crore project. He said that the State Government would also ensure strengthening basic amenities in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh area in order to facilitate the entrepreneurs and the locale.
Chief Minister said that Himachal Pradesh has witnessed unprecedented development since its creation and today it was being ranked as fast emerging developed State amongst big States of the country. He said that credit of this goes to the hardworking people of the State, besides visionary leadership provided by the successive Congress Governments. He said that at the time of formation of the State, there were only 340 kms roads, but today roads have been constructed even over Rohtang, Chanshal and Jalori passes. He said that he was a nationalist by heart and does not believe in regionalism. He said that Dhumal Government came to power for the first time with the support of HVC and victimized him by framing false Sagar Katha Case. He said that he was against the politics of vendetta and when Congress came to power again in the State, he did not harass his political opponents as he did not want to make Himachal Pradesh another Punjab or Tamil Nadu.
Earlier, Chief Minister inaugurated blood donation camp organized by the Sanstha. He also distributed prizes to meritorious students, besides provided wheel chairs and financial assistance to the needy on behalf of the organization.
MLA and President, Sarv Kalyankari Sanstha Rajender Rana while welcoming the Chief Minister said that the Organization since its inception has provided marriage assistance to about 5000 poor girls. He said that financial assistance was also being provided to the poor and deserving. He urged the Chief Minister for constructing Baba Haripur road.
