himachal stall at India International Trade Fair-2013

New Delhi: With a view to ensure timely clearance to the investment proposals, final clearance would be conveyed by the State level Single Window Clearance & Monitoring Authority within 90 days after receipt of complete applications. This was stated by Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri while addressing the gathering on the occasion of ‘Himachal Day’ organized during the India International Trade Fair-2013 at New Delhi.

Agnihotri said that the State Government has constituted a Land Bank comprising of Government and private land to ensure easy availability of land to prospective entrepreneurs in various parts of the State. He said that more than 8,000 bighas of land has been included in the Land Bank in eight Districts namely Hamirpur, Sirmour, Kangra, Una, Mandi, Bilaspur, Solan and Shimla.

Industries Minister said that in order to promote exports for the State, an Inland Container Depot has also been set up at Baddi. He said that besides Industries, Tourism and Power, the State Government has also identified projects in sectors such as Urban Infrastructure Road/Transport, Tourism and Health Sector which can be taken up in the Public Private Partnership Mode.

He said that due to the concerted efforts made by the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, the State witnessed unprecedented industrial growth during the last decade due to Special Package of Incentives granted to the State by the Govt. He said that the State has about 39,250 Small Scale and 494 Medium and Large Scale units with an investment of about Rs. 17312.93 crore generating direct employment for about 2,77,984 persons.

Agnihotri said that the State Government has launched an ambitious Skill Development Allowance Scheme for the providing employment opportunities to the educated youth of the State with a budgetary provision of Rs. 100 crore for the current Financial Year. He said that Rs 1000 per month was being provided to normal youth and Rs. 1500 per month for 50 per cent physically disabled youth to undergo skill development training.

Earlier Industries Minister visited the Himachal Pavilion and advised the organizers to exhibit Himachali products at national and international level. He also ensured of all possible help from the State Government.
