Governor Urmila Singh and Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh have felicitated the people of the State on the occasion of Buddha Purnima.
Urmila Singh in her felicitation message said that teachings and principles of Lord Buddha were more relevant today in the present tension ridden world to live a peaceful life. She said that it was a special day to remember Buddha. We all should follow the Noble Truths and Eight Fold Path of Buddha.
Chief Minister said that Lord Buddha had showed humanity the path to virtuous life and attainment of salvation. He said that this day was a timely reminder of the noble virtues of non-violence and brotherhood espoused by Lord Buddha.
He said that teachings of Lord Buddha provide the inner strength to work for humanity and we must strive to make these teachings part of our daily life.
