Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition Kufri, Shimla would start free short term job oriented course in Food & Beverage Services and Food Production so as to explore the possibilities of generating employment to the youth in Tourism and allied sectors.

Stating this here today, an official spokesperson of the State Government disclosed that the above courses were being organised with the support of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and would be of six and eight weeks respectively.

He said that the all those between 18 to 28 years of age and had qualified middle standard were eligible to participate in the courses free of cost adding that their selection would be made batch-wise in groups of not more than 25 to 30 trainees on first come first serve basis. Besides they would also be paid stipend of Rs. 1500 and Rs. 2000 on the completion of both the courses respectively, with the condition that they must ensure 90 percent attendance.

He said that apart from providing accommodation and transportation trainees would be provided free uniform and daily lunch during the courses. The interested persons may apply on the prescribed format to the Principal, Institute of Hotel Management Catering and Nutrition, Kufri, Shimla-12, by 5th March, 2013.
