Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Speaker Brij Bihari Lal Butail called on Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar in New Delhi today. Butail discussed the parliamentary procedures and rules with the Lok Sabha Speaker and further stressed the need to strengthen parliamentary democracy by maintaining the decorum and dignity of the House. He told the Lok Sabha Speaker about the high traditions of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha which has resulted in utilization of maximum time for the parliamentary work and harmonious relations between all political leaders irrespective of their party affiliations.
Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar appreciated the traditions of the Himachal Vidhan Sabha and stressed the need to maintain it for healthy and fruitful discussions in the house.
