A delegation from distant Dodrakwar area of district Shimla led by Ishwar Singh Negi, Ex- Chairman, Panchayat Samiti, Chohara, met the Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh at his official residence at Oak-over today. The delegation included Mahendar Singh Vasu, General Secretary, Congress Committee, Rohru, Keshav Ram, Vice-President, Congress Committee, Rohru, Virendar Dhariwal, Vice-President, Panchayat Samiti, Chohara, Kalar Singh, Senior Vice-President, Congress Committee, Dodrakwar, Naresh Kumar, Up-Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Jakha, Babita Basu, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Dhandwari, Harbans Singh, General Secretary, Congress Committee, Dodrakwar, Birbal Singh Pazta, Dodrakwar and Atar Singh Thakur, Treasurer Congress Committee, Dodrakwar.
The delegation put-forth their demand for metaling the Rohru-Dodrakwar Road on priority besides connecting Netwar-Sewadogri-Dodrakwar with road connectivity, to fill the vacancies in different departments, provide helicopter services from Shimla to Dodrakwar during harsh winters, to solve the drinking water problem and provide financial assistance for the unfinished Irrigation and Public Health schemes, to renovate all the Government buildings and offices in the area, to start 10+2 classes in High School, Jaskoon and to upgrade Middle School, Jakha to High school. Virbhadra Singh assured the delegation of fulfilling their demands sympathetically.
An another delegation from Kharshali and Torsa in district Shimla, led by Nagru Ram and Sher Singh, Organiser Temple Committee, Torsa respectively, met Virbhadra Singh here today at Holly-lodge and congratulated him on assuming charge of Chief Minister’s office. Ram Lal, Hari Kishan, Ram Kishan, Pratap, Gyan Chand, Vidyasagar and other office bearers of district and block congress from Kharshali and Torsa also met the Chief Minister in the morning and felicitated him on his becoming Chief Minister of the State for sixth time. They also placed their various demands to the Chief Minister.
