BJP leader Prem Kumar Dhumal addressed election rally at Gumma in Jubbal-Kotkhai assembly segment. Thousands of BJP supporters from Jubbal-Kotkhai and nearby Theog assembly segment assembled at Gumma. While addressing the supporters, Dhumal detailed out his Govt achievements and claimed to make unmatched development in state and added that various awards and recognition is a live example of it.
He blamed center Govt for being partial towards Himachal Pradesh. Dhumal claimed that despite central Govt biased approach against Himachal Pradesh, BJP led Govt has ensured balanced and record breaking development in the state. He added that Himachal has two ministers of union stature in Govt and even then they failed to protect the interest of hill state.
He also targets Congress led UPA Govt for the numerous scams. He said that many of its ministers were even put behind bar for their involvement in 2G, 3G, Commonwealth Games, Coalgate and steel scam. He also alleged that the UPA Government is responsible for corruption and inflation in country and its’ wrong and anti poor policies are widening the gape between rich and poor. Dhumal criticised UPA move to put tab on the cooking gas cylinders and said that it will directly impact poor and middle class people. Dhumal also propagate his party’s manifesto promise to distribute induction heater and said that it will lessen the burden from middle class people. He urged electorates to support BJP candidates for the development of the state. BJP candidate of Jubbal-Kotkhai Narinder Bragta was also present with other BJP leaders of the region.
However, Chief Minister remained mum over the dilapidated condition of Thoeg-Chhaila-Kotkhai-Jubbal-Rohru road, which is a lifeline of major apple producing region of Shimla district and is a biggest demand of the locals. In previous election, BJP had promised to improve the road condition, but it deteriorated there after. In 2010 apple crops worth crores rotten on roadside and many lost their life in accidents. Big dangerous potholes and hurricane of dust welcome commuters and now to travel 50 KM of it need good 6-8 hours of extra vigil drive.
