Congress stalwart Virbhadra Singh hit back at Prem Kumar Dhumal’s remarks that the controversial Jaiprakash Associate Limited thermal plant project was passed during the previous Congress regime Union Minister and Congress leader said the Himachal Chief Minister is misleading public on the issue.
Virbhadra Singh said
The High Court judgement in Jaiprakash Associate Limited case is indictment of the BJP government in Himachal Pradesh which gave nod to the company for setting up thermal plant in the state. Dhumal is misleading people by putting all the blame on the previous Congress government in the state
He said that his government had withdrawn clearance to thermal plants but the BJP government on coming to power reversed the policy and allowed setting of thermal plants upto 60 MW capacity.
Virbhadra Singh added that Dhumal is making false statements and trying to mislead the Himachal people.
