Factionalism in State BJP is wide open as again veteran party leader Shanta Kumar refused to accompany Chief Minister to a public function in the Sulah assembly constituency.
To persuade the aggrieved leader to attend the function, Chief Minister went to his residence at Palampur, but Shanta Kumar refused to budge from his stand that he would not get involved in party affairs and those of the government until issues raised by him were addressed to his satisfaction.
Shanta Kumar is a vital leader for BJP in State and without his support mission repeat can’t be possible. National general secretary JP Nadda and state BJP chief Satpal Satti are learned to be in constant touch with him and trying to settle the issues, but till now Shanta Kumar is firm on his demands.
