Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal announced opening of a new Tehsil at Nagrota Sooriyan so that revenue problems of the people of the area could be solved at their door steps.
He also performed the foundation stone laying stone ceremony of the Rs. 264.15 lakh Nagrota Sooriyan Drinking Water Augmentation Scheme. This would solve the Drinking Water problem of 11000 people of five villages of the area. He also presided over the Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar Programme.
Chief Minister said that Tehsildar was available for a week to solve the revenue problems of the area earlier which was further increased to 15 days and now keeping in view the demand of the local people, the State Government had decided to open a Tehsil to provide them administrative services at their door steps. He said that a Tehsildar would be posted in the area soon.
Prof. Dhumal said that Prashasan Janta Ke Dwar Programmes were being held regularly at all levels in the State in order to facilitate the people and added that efforts were being made to redress the grievances on priority during the tours of Chief Minister. This was saving the time and resources of the people as now they need not visit the State or District Headquarters frequently. He said that all the Ministers, MPs, MLAs and Administrative Officers were participating in these programmes in order to bring in efficiency and transparency in the Administration.
Chief Minister said that the State Government was ensuring balanced and speedy development of the State by rising above political ideology. He said that benefits of development had percolated down to the grass root level during the last four years and every section of the society got benefitted.
Prof. Dhumal said that free ambulance service was being provided to the people of the State and people were getting benefitted. He said that many lives have been saved due to this prompt service. He said that Mother-Child Tracking Scheme had been launched from Dharamshala to track the health status of the pregnant women. He said that free institutional delivery facility was also being provided in all the Government hospitals besides free medicines to them. He said that stringent steps were being taken to check female foeticide.
Chief Minister said that the State Government was providing electricity to domestic consumers on reasonable rates besides spending Rs. 166.46 crore on the subsidy during the current year. He said that free dentures were being provided to senior citizens under Muskan Yojana. He urged the people to take benefit of all the welfare schemes being implemented for their welfare besides generating awareness so that all eligible persons could avail the benefits. Government had paid an amount of Rs. 23.82 lakh to Railway Department for constructing Nandpur-Jalriyan road and efforts would be made to complete it soon.
Prof. Dhumal presented Rs. 25000 to Smt. Archna Bala, Rs. 50000 to Shri Anil Kumar, Rs. 25000 to Smt. Sulochna, Rs. 3000 to Smt. Kamlesh Kumari for the marriage of her daughter, Rs. 15000 to Smt. Nisha for treatment of her husband. He also announced Rs. 50000 each for construction of burial grounds at upper Katora and Spail and Rs. 1.50 lakh for construction of Community Building in Samlet Panchayat.
Dr. Harbans Rana, Former Minister welcomed the Chief Minister and apprised him of local demands. Ravinder Singh Ravi, IPH Minister, Smt.
