Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister Ramesh Dhawala, said that ration scale for APL consumers which was reduced in the past has now been restored. Dhawala said that consequent upon the allocation of additional quota of 29490 MT flour and 14480 MT rice to APL consumers from June, 2011 to March, 2012, quota of 15 kg flour and 7 kg rice to APL consumers had been increased to 18 kg and 9 kg respectively. He said that this scheme would continue till March, 2012.
Dhawala said that allocation of essential commodities to Bara-Banghal in Kangra district had already been made. Similarly, allocation of essential commodities to tribal areas of the State like Pangi would be ensured till the end of August. He directed the officers to ensure the supply of essential commodities to Lahaul- Spiti, Dodra Kwar and Bharmaur before the end of September.
