Food & Civil Supplies Minister Ramesh Dhawala informed that all the ration card holders of the State were being provided one Kg levy sugar which included 700 gram general quota besides 300 gram additional quota in the month of November, 2012 on account of Diwali.

He said that consumers could contact officers of Food & Civil Supplies Department in case the quota was not available in any area of the State. He said that the officers have been directed to launch special campaign to ensure good quality of sweets and other edible items in the markets.

Dhawala said that essential food grains have been provided in all the tribal areas besides 61 percent medicines worth 1.13 crore. Rest 39 percent medicines would be made available soon, he added.
