HP High Court lambastes at official about bad condition of Nahan-Paonta road and directed the superintending engineer (SE), National Highway Circle, HPPWD, and the Sirmaur Deputy Commissioner at Nahan and other concerned officials to conduct a joint inspection of road conditions and take immediate action on it. The court also ordered SE to accelerate the maintenance work of the road and the Bata Bridge to the Yamuna Bridge and directed to file his affidavit explaining action taken in the matter.
The court passed this order on a petition filed by residents of Paonta Sahib on the poor condition of roads, including Nahan to Paonta Sahib and Bata Bridge to Yamuna Bridge i.e. NH No. 72, 72B, 73A and 73B. The court further posted the matter for further hearing on July 26.
