To promote adventure tourism in the Pangi valley in Chamba, a national-level three-day Peak Valley Bikers Foray Rally is being organised in the last week of June. The chief object of the proposed rally is to bring the picturesque Pangi tribal terrain on the international map of tourism, thereby generating livelihood to local inhabitants.

Announcing this decision, Peak Valley Bikers Foray organisation’s chairperson Vinayak Raina said a number of bikers will gather at Bairagarh in Chamba district from where a the mega rally would be kicked off. Rally will cover around 350 kilometre long itinerary of snowy mountainous terrains, which included a distance of 187 km in the territory of Chamba district. The rally will commence from Bairagarh and converge at the famous Manali hill resort in Kullu district passing through Killar and Udaipur tribal townships.

Raina said that the approval to organize the rally had been obtained from the government; adding that those motorcyclists who are physically fit and whose life had been insured as well as the bike too would be eligible to join this rally. Raina informed that the organization of the Peak Valley Bikers Foray had arranged the state-of-the-art equipments including the ambulance to take care of the bikers rally throughout the expedition itinerary. The scouts and the medical teams would also be camping at different places for the facility of the bikers.
