The Himachal Pradesh High Court summoned the entire record of purchase of ayurvedic drugs by the state government from companies based outside the state. It had been alleged that the concerned department had purchased Ayurveda drugs in violation of norms as prescribed by the central government.
The court passed this order after perusing the rejoinder filed by the petitioner, the Himachal Pradesh Ayurvedic Manufacturing Association, wherein it was alleged that the department had purchased the medicines in violation of norms. Tara Singh Chauhan, counsel for the petitioner, contended that the state had simply refuted the allegations of the petitioner association without producing any substance before the court.
