Chief Electoral Officer Narender Chauhan informed that the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for 65 Assembly Constituencies in the State (except 50-Arki, 51-Nalagarh and 52-Doon Assembly Constituencies) with reference to 1st January, 2012 would be conducted from 1st October, 2011.
He said that Draft Electoral Rolls would be published on 1st October, 2011, claims and objections could be filed between 1st October to 1st November, 2011, reading of relevant part/section of photo electoral rolls in Gram Sabha/Local Bodies and RWA meetings etc & verification of names would be between 8th and 11th October, 2011, special campaign dates with Booth Level Agents of political parties for receiving Claims and Objections would be 9th, 16th and 23rd October, 2011, Claims and Objections would be disposed by 1st December, 2011, updating the database, merging of photographs, updating the Control Tables and preparation and printing of supplementary list would be done from 1st December to 31st December, 2011 and Electoral Rolls would finally be published on 05th January, 2012.
He said that the draft Photo Electoral Rolls would be available on 1st October, 2011 at each polling station of the concerned Assembly Constituency/in the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (ADMs /SDMs) /Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars).
