Chief Minister dedicated Girls Medical Hostel for 130 girls of IGMC here today. Health Minister Dr. Rajeev Bindal, MLA Suresh Bhardwaj, and other prominent persons of Shimla town were present on the occasion.
In his address, Chief Minister congratulated the Government Medical students and added that with the construction of the hostel the students will be benefitted. He said that State Government will review the free travel facility given to the cancer patients in HRTC buses and protect their interests. He said that State Government is committed to provide better health care services to the people of the State at their door steps and added that all out efforts in this direction were afoot. He said that IGMC had been developed as centre of par excellence in medical education in the country where latest facilities were being provided. He said the people earlier were to go outside the State to get these facilities but now these were available in the State. He hoped that such services would also be provided in other parts of the State in near future.
