A Spokesman of the State Government said here today that a public hearing on the problems and grievances of scheduled castes of the Sates of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh and Union Territory of Chandigarh will be held at Chandigarh on 29th October, 2014.
He said that those belonging to scheduled castes who have a complaint of atrocity committed by a public servant or of negligence by a public servant in prevention of atrocity, may send their complaints to the Commission by Registered Post or by Speed Post on the address of Registrar, National Human Rights Commission, Manav Adhikar Bhawan, Block-C, GPO Complex, INA, New Delhi-110023. The complaints should reach the Commission latest by 15th August, 2014.
He said that such complaints as are deemed fit for enquiry will be taken up at the public hearings. He said that the parties will be informed in due course about the date and venue of public hearing.
