Palampur: In the “Parshasan Janta Ke Dwar” programme at Palampur, Speaker, Himachal Pradesh Assembly Brij Behari Lal Butail asked government officials for quick redressal of public grievances.
In the programme, organised by Bhupinder Attari, SDM, Palampur, 100 complaints were registered, out of which 75 were disposed of on the spot. Butail asked the officials to implement his order immediately.
While addressing the officials, Butail asked them to redress the grievances at the lower level, so that people could be saved from travelling a long distance to reach Shimla and Dharamsala.
Vidhan Sabha speaker said that the main function of the state government is to serve people in a better way and government officials could play a significant role by implementing the policies and programmes of the government.
He asked government officials to dispose of public complaints on priority. He said that government officials are public servants and their objective is to serve the public.
