Thakur Sukhvinder Singh (Sukhu) has been appointed President of Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee. Sukhu was appointed Working President of the state Congress in January when veteran leader now Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh quit the post after assuming the CM post for record sixth times.
The announcement made by AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi. Dwivedi in a press release announced that Congress President Sonia Gandhi has appointed Sukhu as the President of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee with immediate effect.
