Shimla: Mr. Scott Slessor, Counsel General, Embassy of Canada, Chandigarh called on Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here today. Virbhadra Singh said that Himachal Pradesh and Canada had the same environment and climatic conditions and both can collaborate in expansion of Tourism, Horticulture, Agriculture, Industries and Education sectors. He said that Canadian expertise and technology could boost tourism and industrial growth along-with enhanced horticultural and agricultural production.
Mr. Scott Slessor said that possibilities of mutual collaboration would be explored to share technical knowledge with the Himachal Pradesh in the key sectors.
Earlier, Chief Minister honoured Counsel General with Himachali cap and shawl. V.C. Pharka, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, was present on the occasion.
