In a shocking incident, five persons looted Rs 1.5 lakh from a petrol pump at Bhanooi village, of Kangra district, on the Pathankot-Mandi national highway. They had arrived in a car, a jeep and a motor cycle and used a sharp-edged weapon that left a worker injured as well. The vehicles used in the crime have been impounded, but the five accused are yet to be arrested.
Kangra SDPO Dinesh Kumar Sharma said that the accused had been identified as Vipin, Gholo, Anil and Sagar, all residents of nearby Ladhwara village, and Bhola of Rait. It is also learned that accused persons had moved the court in Dharamsala for anticipatory bail.
