Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal announced opening of HRTC Sub Depot at Udaipur in Lauhal-Spiti district. Besides, he also announced 50 percent subsidy on fodder due to drought like conditions because of insufficient rain fall during the monsoon in the district. The Chief Minister performed foundation stone laying ceremony of Polytechnic College at Udaipur to be constructed at the cost of Rs. 25 crore and also inaugurated Rs. 1.92 crore Hulliyad-Udaipur Flow Irrigation Scheme. He also inaugurated Rs. 2.50 crore, newly constructed bus stand at Udaipur.
Prof. Dhumal was addressing a public meeting at Udaipur today. The Chief Minister announced to upgrade the Primary School Trilokinath to Middle School, Kishori Middle School to High School and Chimrit and Mooling School to Senior Secondary School.
He said that the State Government was committed for over all development of Tribal areas of the State and was spending Rs. 333 crore for development of Tribal areas of the State. He said that the present Government had implemented a number of schemes envisioned to facilitate every section of the society especially weaker sections which had been immensely benefited with the visionary policies and programmes implemented during past four and a half years. He said that the State Government had not only fulfilled all the promises it had made in its election manifesto but had performed beyond that.
He said that ‘Atal Swasthya Yojna’ had been started in the State under which ambulance service was available in emergency within half an hour. He said that Muskan Yojna, Atal Bijli Bachat Yojna, Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Yojna and other similar schemes had been launched in health sector which had immensely benefited the people of the State. He said that under Matri Sewa Yojna free treatment facilities were being provided to new born infants upto one year in Government hospitals besides free institutional delivery facility to expectant mothers in health institutions of the State.
He said that the daily wages in Tribal Areas had been enhanced to Rs. 187.50. Earlier, Samsher Singh, Pradhan Udaipur Gram Panchayat welcomed the Chief Minister. Dr. Ram Lal Markandey, MLA welcomed the Chief Minister to his home segment and thanked him for dedicating and inaugurating various development projects.
