Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh laid foundation stone of Circuit House of the State Government to cost Rs. 34 crores and to be constructed at Willy’s Park near All India Radio, here today.
The circuit house will be having 46 rooms in all besides parking lot for 100 vehicles and will be constructing with elegance and on the pattern of four or five star hotels. This would not only reduce pressure on lone State Guest house Peterhoff but will also help solve the boarding and lodging problems of the guests visiting the State capital. The Chief Minister also poured in his valuable suggestions for internal improvement of Peterhoff.
Later, he visited the landslip site near lift and inspected the on-going restoration work of the same. He directed the authorities to speed up the work so as to avoid inconvenience to the commuters.
Mayor Sanjay Chauhan, Deputy Mayor Tikendar Panwar, Deputy Commissioner Dinesh Malhotra, Superintendent of Police D.W. Negi, Special Secretary GAD & Director Tourism, Mohan Chauhan, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Pankaj Rai, Chief Engineer PWD M.S Thakur also accompanied the Chief Minister amongst others.
