To cut the expenses on running loss making timber depots, the H.P. Forest Development Corporation has given the control of such timber sale depots to the Forest department.
This decision was taken in the meeting of the Board of Director’s with a view to cut the expenses on running these timber depots and also as the Forest department had adequate staff and space for the purpose.
Kewal Singh Pathania, Vice Chairman, H.P. Forest Development Corporation said that there was no proposal to close any retail sale depot of the Corporation adding that the Corporation would continue to supply timber or log to the department as per past practice.
