Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh announced to up-grade Community Health Centre (CHC) Kaza to 50 bedded and also assured to equip it with modern equipments and machinery.
Virbhadra Singh, in a public meeting at Kaza in Lahaul & Spiti district, assured to provide adequate staff and specialist doctors in the hospital. Apart from this, the residential accommodation for the doctors will also be ensured within the vicinity of the hospital campus so that they may be available round the clock for the people and willingly opt for serving the tribal and far-flung areas of the State.
He said that the Government was committed for strengthening the health infrastructure and providing quality health care to the people, especially in tribal areas so as to cater better health services to the people. Besides, the Government was committed to provide cheaper generic drugs in all public health institution of the State and will make assure that the doctors prescribe only generic medicines to the people.
Chief Minister also ensured peoples of region to pursue the matter of construction of Rangreek Airstrip with Government of India so that Kaza airport, which can give boost to the tourism in the region, besides facilitating the people.
The Chief Minister also announced to up-grade High School Guling to Senior Secondary School.
The Chief Minister announced to provide ‘Nautour’ land to the landless for construction of houses for themselves in the valley.
The Chief Minister was accorded warm traditional welcome by the people of the area.
Ravi Thakur MLA Lahaul and Spiti, V.C Pharka Additional Chief Secretary, Narender Chauhan, Principal Secretary, PWD and other senior officers were present on the occasion amongst others.
