Kullu: Thieves struck at the historic Raghunathji temple, chief deity of Kullu Dussehra, and decamped with 40 kg silver and 165 grams gold jewellery valued about Rs 23 lakh.

As per police report, the priest of the temple discovered the theft on Wednesday morning, when he opened the temple for routine worship and found that idols displaced and jewellery missing.

Kullu police has sealed the temple premises and called for the forensic experts. Police is hoping to solve it soon.
