The State Pollution Control Board has issued notices to 32 hospitals for their failure to ensure proper segregation and disposal of bio-medical waste. Out of 32 hospitals, 11 were government and 21 were private hospitals.
Pollution Control Board has issued notices after three-member committee of scientists report. Committee of scientists had carried out inspections in 62 hospitals, 43 private and 19 government in Shimla, Solan, Sirmour, Una, Hamirpur, Chamba, Kangra, Bilaspur, Mandi and Kullu districts.
