Forest Minister Thakur Singh Bharmauri directed the Forest department to prepare a plan for conservation of Khajjiar Lake. He was presiding over a meeting of senior officers of Wildlife Wing of Forest department last evening.
He sanctioned Rs. 35 lakh for the fencing of Khajjiar Lake to protect it from stray animals and directed the department to start the work at the earliest.
Bharmauri sanctioned Rs. five lakh each for development of Wildlife information centre at Manali in Kullu district and Lakkar Mandi to Kala Top Marg.
