Gearing up for the forthcoming general election, BJP senior leader and former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal hold various meetings at the Arki, Doon and Nalagarh constituencies. State party’s president Satpal Satti and state general secretary Dr Rajiv Bindal were also present in all these meeting.
While addressing party workers, leader of opposition hailed the party high-command decision of declaring Narendra Modi as their Prime Ministerial candidate. He believed that this step had given a new lease of life to the party and especially youth were jubilant over the decision and a wave in favour of the BJP was visible in the country after the announcement, Dhumal added. He informed party workers that Modi would address a state-level workers meeting which would be held after the completion of the mandal and district-level camps in the state.
He urged the party cadres to work in unison and sink all the differences to strengthen the party. He asked party activists to raise issues like corruption and price rise among the electorates.
BJP leader termed Congress led UPA government inefficient and accused them for indulging in various scams. He said that central Govt was failed to check the inflation and due to wrong policies, economy is also feeling the heat. Dhumal accused state Govt for settling political scores and framing political opponents. He alleged that the government had failed to undertake any development steps to benefit people and in the coming election people would give a “befitting reply to the Congress in the polls for their vindictive acts”, Dhumal believed.
