Members of the 14th Finance Commission visited the rain-ravaged Kinnaur district, which suffered the maximum damage due to flash floods during the monsoons.

Three members of the commission today flew to Kinnaur to assess the damage caused by monsoon rains and Commission Chairman Dr YV Reddy and another member return to Delhi.

The members were accompanied by Principal Finance Secretary Srikant Baldi and Kinnaur Deputy Commissioner Capt JM Pathania during the visit. The members first flew to Pooh and assess lose. They took an aerial view of the Pooh valley right up to Nako. The commission members later visited district headquarters Reckong Peo.
