Himachal Lokhit Party (HLP) president and MLA Kullu Maheshwar Singh, party state spokesperson Mahender Nath Sofat and newly appointed state vice-president Khushi Ram Balnatah met Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh and demanded a high-level probe by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) into the phone tapping scandal.

Maheshwar Singh termed the alleged phone tapping by the state police during the last BJP regime as a very serious and sensitive issue.

HLP leaders also demanded probe into the dilution of Section 118, Tenancy and Land Reform Act, by the previous BJP regime to benefit a few individuals and facilitate land deals.
