Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee president (HPCC) Thakur Sukhvinder Singh visited his Home district Hamirpur and party workers accorded a rousing reception at various places on his way.

While addressing party workers at Gandhi Chowk, Hamirpur, Congress president made a scathing attack on former Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and his MP son Anurag Thakur. He blamed BJP leaders for corruption and accused them for doing politics of convenience and have failed to protect the interests of the common man despite getting elected from Hamirpur several times. He said that present Govt is looking into the various wrong doing in last five years and the details of the charge of benami land transactions will soon be made public by giving facts regarding investments made by them at various places in the names of others. He also accused Dhumal Govt for the failure spice park project in the Nadaun constituency. He claimed that Dhumal led Govt failed to provide land for the spice park project, which could have helped farmers.

Congress president also lambasted at Anurag Thakur and accused him to fail to take up pubic issues in Parliament and rarely visits the Hamirpur constituency.

In the meeting, Congress president Thakur Sukhvinder Singh also advised party workers to maintain discipline and be united for the next Parliamentary election. He urged party men to forget their petty personal interests and be united to propagate the policies and programmes of the party. He also said that any indiscipline will not be tolerate in the party.

District Congress Committee president Sunil Sharma, Badsar MLA ID Lakhanpal, former MLA Kuldeep Pathania and state Congress spokesman Deepak Sharma also addressed the party workers.
