Transport Minister GS Bali announced that the state will have 10 new bus stands which will be constructed on the build operate and transfer (BOT) scheme. He said the new BOT bus stands would be equipped with all the modern facilities, adding that the old bus stands in various parts of the state would be repaired.
Bali, who is also hold the Food and Civil Supplies, said that he is keen to improve the food and public distribution systems in the state. He said that department has put up toll free number 1800-180-8026 on service to register grievances of consumers to redress them immediately. To improve the department functioning common people can also their suggestion over this number. He said orders were issued that these two telephone numbers should be exhibited on food and supply depots.
He said 20 bus stands had been identified in the state where food and supplies outlets would be opened on a no-profit no-loss basis.
