Three day long State level Hamir Utsav at Hamirpur town begins today. Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal led the ceremonial procession of the Hamir Utsav originating from Collectorate Hamirpur to perform pooja at Shiv Temple to begin the Fair at Hamirpur today.
Chief Minister was accompanied by local MLA Urmil Thakur, Sarla Sharma, Chairperson, Zila Parishad, Pyare Lal Sharma, Chairman, APMC and State President, BJP Kisan Morcha, M.P. Parmar, CMD, Ex-Servicemen Corporation, R.S. Mankotia, Chairman, Kangra Central Cooperative Bank, Maya Rana Vice President, State BJP, Deep Kumar, President, Municipal Committee, Hamirpur, Veena Sharma, Member State BJP Executive Committee and other office bearers of party and Rajender Singh, Deputy Commissioner, Madhusudan Sharma, Superintendent of Police and other senior officers of the district.
On arrival at Mela ground, he inaugurated exhibition stalls put up by Government, Non Government and Public Sector Undertakings and various other voluntary organizations. He went around the stalls and evinced keen interest in exhibits displayed in the exhibitions.
