Chairman Himachal Pradesh State Finance Commission, Dile Ram has appealed to all the Panchayati Raj Institutions and the Urban Local Bodies to assist Lok Mitra Kendras in collection of the data for further analysis by the commission. He was presiding over the 3rd meeting of Commission held here today. He said that the early supply of the data would help the commission to submit the final report to the Government.
He said that the State Finance Commission had reviewed the status of survey being conducted for the collection of the income and expenditure details from all the Panchayati Raj Institutions and the Urban Local Bodies in the State. He said that the commission decided to extend the time period for two months for this survey through the Lok Mitra Kendras.
He further said that the State Finance Commission had decided to organize more meetings with Panchayati Raj Institutions and the Urban Local Bodies for obtaining the details of their income and expenditure in every District of the State. He said that Commission would also hold meetings with the state level representatives of the associations of Panchayati Raj Institutions and the associations of the Urban Local Bodies. These bodies would be asked to submit their memorandums to the Finance Commission in addition to the memorandums from the concern departments. The Commission would also consider all the suggestions of these associations while submitting the report to the Government.
He also thanked Chief Minister, Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal for the appointment of an independent Member Secretary in the Finance Commission. S.K.B.S. Negi, Member Finance Commission and the Dr. S.K. Shad, Member Secretary were also present of the occasion
