Governor Urmila Singh launched the 15 day long Van Mahotsav organised by Municipal Corporation, Shimla by planting a sapling of ‘Chinar’ at Raj Bhawan Today. The plantation drive would be conducted throughout suburbs of Shimla in next 15 days.
She stressed the need for planting more and more trees so as to conserve and protect our environment alongwith flora and fauna of the State. Sanjay Chauhan, Mayor, Municipal Corporation Shimla, councillors, officers and officials of Municipal Corporation Shimla were present on the occasion among officers and employees of Raj Bhawan.
