MC Shimla got set-back when it did not find any bidder for the collection of the proposed green tax on vehicles from other state. MC Shimla has fixed the base price at Rs 6 crore per annum and it seems that has kept bidders away from taking up the contract for the green tax.

Commissioner MP Sood said that MC will invite fresh bid within week and it is learned that MC will not reduce its base price, but can give some relaxation on its condition like security deposits and minimum experience of handling such projects.
