Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today inaugurated four-day long traditional State Level Holi Mahotsav of Palampur by beating traditional drums ‘Tamak’, unfurling the Holi Mahotsav flag and lighting ceremonial lamp at Holi Kala Manch at Martyr Vikram Batra Stadium, at Palampur in Kangra district today.
Dhumal greeted people of the State on Holi Mahotsav and wished them a joyous celebration of festival of colours. Chief Minister also released the souvenir brought out by the organisers of State Level Holi Mahotsav. He also released ‘Analytical Techniques in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology’ written by Dr. Rajan Katoch, CSK University of Agriculture Teacher, ‘Dev Bhoomi Himachal’ and ‘Hum Hain Hindustani’, authored by Sudarshan Bhatia.
Ashish Singhmar, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Chairman of State Level Holi Mahotsav Organising Committee, Palampur, welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for inaugurating the four-day long Holi Festival. He urged the Chief Minister to provide solid waste management plant for the town.
