The Special Classical Fusion Music Night being scheduled to be held today on 17th December, 2011 in HPTDC Hotel Holiday Home, Shimla has further been extended for one day in view of numbers of inquiries received from the tourists and local music lovers and on their demand. Therefore, Subhash Ghosh, a renowned classical musician – the disciple of legendary Sarod Player Ustad Amjad Ali Khan will perform his musical melodies and harmonies of classical fusion music on his newly invented instrument – titled by him as Swar Ragini- a blend of Sitar, Guitar and Sarod on 17th and 18th Nite at 7 PM onwards.
This was informed by Vineet Kumar, Managing Director of this Corporation, today in Shimla. As earlier disclosed, the said instrument designed, fabricated and carved by Ghosh, Swar Ragini is made of special wood called Tul, which is sourced from Assam and has a classical and western sound and appeal The MD added.
The Managing Director further said that the HPTDC has already floated X Mass and New Year Eves Special Packages in its Hotels and this Classical Fusion Night being organized on 17th and 18th Nite in HHH is the beginning of the series of the musical programmes such as enchanting Gala nights, selection of best dancing child, Couple & New Year Eve Prince and Princess, Competition in Balloon & Lemon Dance, Live Music, Dine N Dance, Welcome the New year with Joy and Good Cheer etc.e
As the said Classical Fusion Music Programme is being organized first time in the Corporation Hotel, the MD, HPTDC has requested the tourists and local music lovers to enjoy the same with delicious multicusines including Himachali traditional dishes.
