Milk retailers at Shimla have entered into a deal with the state run Himachal Pradesh State Co-op milk producers’ federation (Milkfed) to promote and sell the local and cheaper Milkfed milk, which will also fetch them a higher margin. Retailers are miffed with the low commissions from the milk companies and now retailers will get Rs 2 commission per litre from the Milkfed and they are selling milk at Rs 28 a litre that is Rs 4 less then the other companies.
