On the issue of proposed Right to Food Security Act Himachal Pradesh Government did not oppose the bill, but refused to implement it on its own as it will be a financial liability on them.
Chief Minister said that Himachal had already conveyed its views on the proposed Act to the Centre. “As long as the Centre ensures that the entire expenditure on the implementation of the scheme is borne by it, we have no problem, but there should be no financial burden on us.”
