First Himachal Everesters meet ends at Manali-Stresses for save the ecology of Himalayan region

First Himachal Everesters meet concluded at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports (ABVIMAS), Manali. Twenty five Everesters from different parts of Himachal Pradesh attended the meet.

During the occasion, ex-Director, ABVIMAS, Manali Col Prem Chand (retd), said that now the time had come when mountaineers should pay back to the Himalayas. He added that mountaineers, particularly Everesters, had not only brought glory to the country in general and Himachal Pradesh in particular by scaling Mount Everest, they had also received acclaims from adventure lovers across the country for their unique achievement. He further said it was a high time when mountaineers should perform a role to save the ecology and environment in the Himalayan region.
