Chief Minister asserts that State Government will consider experimentation of Power Tube Technology, low cost, non-polluting, silent power generation system from the heat of the earth geomagmatic source. This was revealed by Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, after a meeting with the Chief Executive Officer of Power Tube India Incorporated, Houston, Texas, United States of America, in New Delhi last evening, who invited the Chief Minister to visit United States to visit the project sites as also interact with the inventor Doyale Brewington and other experts. Chief Minister said that the State had vast potential to generate hydel power potential which was non-polluting and cost effective in the long run. He said that a large number of hydel projects are under execution in different parts of the States and the entire potential had been targeted to be exploited by year 2020. He said that the State Government had also been exploring the possibility of generating power through non-conventional methods so that the state was in a position to meet the power requirement of neighboring States. He said that the State is also working on solar and wind energy generation technologies and will explore the possibilities of experimentation of Power Tube, low cost, non-polluting and silent power generation system also which could supplement the power demand of the State. He said that Power Tube happened to be a new concept which besides costing low was non-polluting and silent power generation system. He said that the plant did not require too much of infrastructural creations as well. He said that the innovative system will not generate any pollution, consume hydrocarbon material or consume natural resources and cause no acid rain etc to degrade the environmental conditions. He said that the new system was being considered safest of all the power generation systems available in the world.
Chief Executive Officer of Power Tube India Incorporated apprised Chief Minister of the benefits of the Power Tube system and invited him to visit power plant sites in USA. He said that Himachal Pradesh had varied climatic zones and the technology will be of immense benefit to meet the local electricity requirements of consumers.
