A two-day white water river rafting competition is flagged off by Director of the Atal Bihari Mountaineering Institute, Manali Capt Randhir Salhuria at Pirdi. The Director affirms that 11 teams, including two exclusive women teams, are participating in this competition with 102 sportspersons. The competitions were for sprint, salalam and marathon.
Mountaineering Institute is celebrating its golden jubilee year this year and river rafting has become an attraction for tourists.
