The meeting of 4th Finance Commission, H.P. constituted on 20th May, 2011 was held here today under the Chairmanship of Dile Ram. Chairman said that the Commission will evaluate the total earnings and expenditure of the Gram Panchayats, Block Committees, Zila Parishads and Municipal Corporation/Committees. He further said that relocation of various developmental schemes being run by different departments and the resources needed therein for the panchayats, Block Committees, Zila Parishads and Municipal Corporation/Committees will also consider so that these grass root level functionaries were better equipped to take on the responsibilities. Dile Ram said that the Commission will recommend an increase in the allotment of resources for Panchayats, Block Committees, Zila Parishads and Municipal Corporation/Committees from 2012-13 to 2017-18.
In the meeting S.K.B.S. Negi, Member Finance Commission, Dr. S.K. Shad, Member Secretary, Finance Commission were also present.
