A spokesman of the State Government said that Government of India has intimated that a Jatha of 3000 Sikhs pilgrims is going to Pakistan on the occasion of ‘Baisakhi’ and they will be visiting various historic Gurudawaras situated in Pakistan. This visit is for a period of 10 days starting from 10th April 2012 to 19th April, 2012. The quota allotted to Himachal Pradesh is for 15 pilgrims. The last date for receiving the applications is 26th March, 2012.
The interested persons can apply on plain paper indicating complete name, address, contact numbers including mobile numbers and attaching herewith attested copy of the Passport, copy of bonafide certificate should be delivered to Devinder Sarasawti, Under Secretary (Home) in Room No. 311, Armsdale Building, H.P. Sectt.
