H.P. State Civil Supplies Corporation has earned Rs. 645.58 crore during last eight months during current financial year registering an increase of 8 percent. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Ramesh Dhawala disclosed it in the 128th Board of Directors Meeting of the Corporation.
The Minister issued directions to ensure the availability of essential foodgrains in the fair price shops so that no inconvenience is faced by the people. He said that computerization of all sale counters of the Corporation and e-tendering process should be started soon.
The Board of Directors gave their valuable inputs to improve the functioning of the Corporation. The Board also suggested opening of departmental store/super bazaars in all the district centres so that consumers could be facilitated.
Prem Kumar, Principal Secretary, Food and Civil Supplies, Jagdish Sharma, Secretary to Chief Minister, Manish Garg, Special Secretary, Finance, R.D. Nazim, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Amar Singh Rathore, Director, Food and Civil Supplies, Padam Singh Chauhan, Managing Director, H.P. State Civil Supplies Corporation, Kamal Hamirpuri, Vijender Chaudhary, Hardayal Chandel, Trith Ram Thakur and Prem Chauhan, non official members were also present in the meeting.
