Union health Ministry released a grant of Rs 10 crore to strengthen public health infrastructure and medical education in Himachal Pradesh.
Union Health Minister J.P Nadda said the financial aid is part of the Centre’s sustained efforts to significantly improve health care infrastructure in the state.
Of the released amount, Rs 4 crore is for district hospital in Chamba, while Rs 3 crore each for the district hospitals in Hamirpur and Nahan, Nadda stated
“We have already sanctioned funds for setting up and strengthening of trauma care centres, cancer care facilities and purchase of new medical equipment in Himachal Pradesh,”
Union Health Minister hoped that new medical colleges would boost medical education and quality of health care facilities in the state.
