In the meeting of the Cabinet Sub Committee held under the Chairmanship of Revenue Minister Thakur Gulab Singh, decided to finalise a realistic policy to convert the leasehold land into freehold so as to provide land use rights to the land users. Thakur Gulab Singh directed the officers of Department of Industries, Housing and Local Self Government to come up with concrete proposals in the next meeting so that the same may be finalized and placed before the Cabinet for its approval. He said that this would not only provide relief to the users but also add to the State exchequer.
Irrigation and Public Health Minister Ravinder Singh Ravi, Industries Minister Kishan Kapoor, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Rajeev Bindal and Transport Minister Mahender Singh, members of the Cabinet Sub Committee also gave their valuable suggestions during the meeting. Additional Chief Secretary Industries Harinder Hira, Principal Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Prem Kumar, Principal Secretary Revenue Deepak Sanan, Principal Secretary Town and Country Planning and Urban Development Manisha Sridhar, Principal Secretary Law A.C. Dogra and other senior officers attended the meeting.
